At The HDFC School, we are committed to be a friend, philosopher and guide in your child's 'learning journey' by providing Education that leads to Excellence which in turn paves the path for Empowerment. We give learning opportunities that enable your child to grow and develop in a holistic manner, create an environment for inquisitive, intellectual, innovative minds and instill the joy of learning through cooperation and collaboration. We aim to equip children with life skills, emotional intelligence and a sound value system that will hold them in good stead in the future.
Our highly competent and experienced faculty, under the expert leadership of our Education Leader & Principal , Mrs. Anita Makkar, inspires knowledge, learning and personal growth in our students. Our teaching-learning process is strengthened by our curriculum and learning programs, specially developed to bring out the best in every student and to empower each one to excel academically, emotionally and socially. We aim to instill in our students a liberal attitude, a strong belief in ethics and respect for all life through Parent-School Partnerships and Community Integration Programmes. It is our endeavour to develop responsible young 'global citizens'.
We follow a non-formal, yet structured approach to learning with a focus on family, home, culture and language. Here, children are encouraged to explore the environment around them, through projects that integrate Academics, Art, Craft, Technology, Music and Dance.
The physical structure and design at The HDFC School resonates with our overall approach to learning: one that integrates the best practices of holistic learning with innovative pedagogy. Each space is created with the specific intent of making the learning experience a joyful one for the child. Reading and art corners, extracurricular group activities and customized play equipment – everything is geared to develop physical dexterity along with cognitive ability of the children.
The campus at Gurgaon is well equipped with sound infrastructure to facilitate academic activities with plenty of open and beautifully landscaped space for the children to explore their natural surroundings and engage in physical activity. Spacious classrooms, providing ample opportunities for creative expressions, are set amidst a bright and cheerful ambience and are equipped with ergonomic and safe furniture of international standards.
Our institution is led by our Education Leader & Principal, Mrs. Anita Makkar, and her core team which has several highly competent and experienced educators and childcare specialists. These influencers have combined their strengths to ensure that your child receives nothing but the highest quality of academic mentorship, focussed guidance, and enriched all-round development.
A pioneer of school education, Mrs. Makkar brings with her a rich three decades of experience in the education domain. With excellent leadership and effective administration skills, she has a focused vision for holistic education and a strong commitment for inclusive education.
School Management Committees or SMCs play an important role of providing an oversight in schools to ensure all basic requirements of the school are being met. This committee has representation from our Parent Community, Teachers and Faculty, The Principal and other Educationists associated with our School. It works on strengthening, supporting and improving the relationship between the School and Parents, creating broader awareness on children’s needs, supporting teachers and assisting Principals with the implementation of the School Learning Plan.
Events provide a platform to our students to showcase their talents and energies both at the academic as well as creative fronts. An event is nothing without the efforts of a sincere and diligent team working together. Our students and staff are full of innovative and progressive ideas. Hard work and preparedness go a long way and can be seen at the various events being held at The HDFC School and preparing our students to be leaders in the 21st century.
