IN MEMORIUM – THE JALLIANWALA BAGH

Description :

The HDFC School, Bengaluru paid an ode to the great sacrifice made on 13 April, 1919, the day of the massacre at the Jallianwala Bagh at Amritsar, Punjab. Students were sensitized about the incident through a video followed by discussions in the classroom. Students understood the importance of this memorable day and its role in paving the path for our Country’s freedom. Through discussions they expressed their views about various alternatives approaches that the British Government could have taken to suppress a Peaceful protest in a peaceful manner instead of resorting to such violence.

It is our endeavor at The HDFC School, Bengaluru, to encourage students to ponder over various issues and motivate them to voice their opinions wherever they feel necessary to mould each of them into impactful leaders of the future.
