Mathematics, often perceived as an overwhelming subject, underwent a transformative experience during the recent Math Week celebration for Grades I and II students at The HDFC School, Bengaluru.
The event, spanning for a week, was designed not only to engage young minds in enjoyable activities but also to instill a genuine affection for mathematics through play-based learning.
The event~s schedule was carefully crafted to integrate a variety of activities that catered to the interests and cognitive levels of the young learners. The activities such as solving puzzles, snakes and ladders, dog and the bone, Arboreal Animal Lifespan Activity, Math Riddles and Math Moves not only aimed to teach mathematical concepts but also to stimulate lateral thinking, problem-solving skills, and teamwork among the students.
