Dressing up as a favourite story character is a delightful experience for kindergarten children. It brings the magic of storytelling to life, transforming the classroom into a realm of imagination and wonder. Whether it~s donning a cape to become a superhero or wearing a crown to embody a fairy tale princess, these dress-up days spark creativity and play.
The act of choosing and wearing a costume fosters decision-making skills and allows children to express their preferences. It also encourages social interaction as they share stories about their characters with peers. These dress-up occasions not only make learning fun but also promote a sense of camaraderie among young learners, creating cherished memories of early childhood adventures in literature. At The HDFC School, Bengaluru, Kindergarten children dressed up in their favourite character and spoke lines on which character inspired them the most and narrated stories.
It was a fun-filled event in which teachers were awestruck by children’s creativity and passion for giving their best.
