An event is nothing without the efforts of a sincere and diligent team working together. Our students and staff are full of innovative and progressive ideas. Hard work and preparedness go a long way and can be seen at the various events being held at The HDFC School and preparing our students to be leaders in the 21st century.

Field trip - Visit to Children’s traffic park at St Marks Road

Date of event: January - 2023

Description :

Real examples provide concrete applications to knowledge and skills learned in the classroom as they relate to students themselves and society. Real examples also encourage students to be aware of the choices they make and how they fit into a greater societal context. Students of Grade IX of The HDFC School participated in the demonstration and awareness programme conducted by the Bangalore traffic police as a part of the ‘Road safety Week’ programme, organized by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

The aim of this programme was to create awareness among students about the importance of following the various traffic signs and symbols to ensure safety on road.

Students were briefed about the various traffic rules; the penalties if not followed; they were also informed about the road safety measures to be followed while walking and or cycling to school.

Traffic wardens showed the various mandatory and cautionary signs and students were also asked to identify them. They also demonstrated the hand signs if automatic signals are not working at traffic junctions. Students got an opportunity to go around the traffic park following the various road signs. It was an interactive and very informative session that was enjoyed by the students as well as the teachers.
