Events provide a platform to our students to showcase their talents and energies both at the academic as well as creative fronts. An event is nothing without the efforts of a sincere and diligent team working together. Our students and staff are full of innovative and progressive ideas. Hard work and preparedness go a long way and can be seen at the various events being held at The HDFC School and preparing our students to be leaders in the 21st century.

The HDFC School, Bengaluru | Celebrated its Annual Sports Meet

On the 26 January, 2023, The HDFC School, Bengaluru, celebrated its Annual Sports Meet in the school campus with enthusiastic fervour. The presence of the parents to cheer the students brought varied hues of joy to the entire event and contributed opulently to its success. The Sports Mascot, Eza – The Cheetah, added to the entire fervour of the Sports Meet.

The day began with the Sports Meet for the Pre-Primary grades where the little ones of our school showcased their athletic splendour through their innocent Walk Past and zealous participation in fun races and other track events. The students of our Grades Nursery to II were ably led by the Council Members in their Walk Past, setting the perfect example for the young ones to live up to. Mr.Sushrutha Reddy, a renowned name in the world of Indian Chess, was the Chief Guest. Mr Sushrutha’s presence was an honour for the gathering at large. The event concluded on a high note following a game of dodge ball with the parents. The outstanding performers in the Pre-Primary section were:

Our noon was reserved for the Annual Sports Meet for Primary and High School students. We had the honour of the company of Mr.C B Jayaranga, ex-DDPI, North Bengaluru as our Chief Guest and Mr. K P Aggarwal, Regional Head, HDFC Ltd., as our Guest of Honour.

The event started with a synchronised March Past to the beats of the school band and was followed by the track events. Each house put its best athlete forth to harp for itself better scores being well aware that the March Past points could make an ocean of a difference in the total tally. Eventually, Agni House took the award for the Best House-2022-23 having won 500 points for its spectacular March Past.

The elegant presence of our Principal Ms Parvathy Seshadri unfurled the petals of optimism for the promising future that our school marches towards with immense pride, dignity and valour.
