Parent Orientation Program- Nursery

Date of event: June - 2023

Description :

“The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child~s own natural desire to learn.”

Studies show, that when families are involved in the education of their children in positive ways, the children maximize their untapped potential and are more regular in school and demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviour. The foundation for a good parent-teacher relationship is frequent and open communication, mutual respect and a clear understanding of what is best for each child.

At The HDFC School, Bengaluru, we completely understand the importance of a child’s growth and the sensitive role of parents along with teachers, wherein we foster your child~s learning through joint efforts of parents, teachers and the school. Where parents and teachers share responsibilities.

On this note, The HDFC School, Bengaluru invited its Nursery parents for an interactive Parent Orientation program on Saturday, 10 June 2023. The program aimed to allow them to experience and understand the world their child will soon begin to explore in school.

The event started with our respected Principal Mrs. Parvathy Seshadri, addressing, and welcoming the parents, as she shared her insightful thoughts on parenthood and managing toddlers and their emotions.

Later, our Pre-primary Academic Coordinator Ms Sonam Dutta introduced our young parents to the teaching-learning structure of the Nursery, and how our children learn holistically with various activities that they do not just inside their classrooms but outdoors as well. She emphasized that all students must feel safe, loved, seen and welcome in their learning environment.

The class teachers also demonstrated a few hands-on activities to the parents. It was an interactive session with our tiny tots, parents, and teachers.

The goal of the Parent Orientation Programme was to ensure that the parents are at ease about the transition of their little ones from their familiar home environment to the new structure of schooling.

The warm interaction between the parents and the teachers ensured the same.
